Obstruction. A 52-year-old man was arrested for obstructing the legal process following a traffic stop at 35W and County Road I.

BLAINE

Theft. Cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway on the 300 block of 107th Circle NE.

CENTERVILLE

DEC. 3

Weapon. Officers responded to the 7100 block of Mill Road regarding a weapon discharging. It was discovered that a 24-year-old male tenant discharged a rifle while cleaning it.

FALCON HEIGHTS

DEC. 1

Traffic. A bicyclist in the area of Larpenteur Avenue and Holton Street was given a verbal warning for failing to illuminate his bike after dark.

DEC. 2

Theft. A statue was taken from a nativity set in a yard in the 1700 block of Simpson Street. The police report did not reveal the identity of the statue, which was valued at $30.

FRIDLEY

DEC. 2

Suspicious person. Officers responded to a home on the 5900 block of 3rd Street NE., regarding a suspicious male walking around the home. Officers located the suspect; he was a resident of the home.

DEC. 4

Medical. An intoxicated 26-year-old woman was taken to the hospital for a hand injury. She accidentally cut her hand breaking in to her apartment on the 5700 block of East River Road NE. She did not have her keys because she loaned them to a friend. Officers were at her apartment earlier because she wanted them to kick in the door. When they wouldn't do that, she said she would go stay with a friend.

Animal complaint. A resident on the 5900 block of 7th Street NE. called to complain about an ongoing problem with a neighbor who keeps feeding the geese.

DEC. 6

Check welfare. Officers responded to a home on the 6400 block of Riverview Terrance NE. regarding a 911 hang-up call. It was discovered a child was playing with the phone and there were no emergencies.

MAPLEWOOD

DEC. 1

Theft. A 30-year-old man collided with another vehicle while trying to leave Maplewood Mall, 3001 White Bear Av., after having taken a suitcase full of clothes from J.C. Penney without paying. He was arrested for shoplifting, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving without insurance and after revocation.

NEW BRIGHTON

DEC. 2

Property damage. All four tires of a vehicle parked in the 500 block of 9th Avenue were reported slashed.

NEWPORT

DEC. 1

Ordinance complaint. Authorities left a warning on the windshield of a vehicle parked with a flat tire in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue.

WOODBURY

NOV. 29

Animal concern. Police moved a reportedly injured woodchuck from a yard in the 7800 block of Hill Road. The animal

appeared to be in good health once it was removed from the property.

DEC. 1

Suspicious activity. A man sitting in a silver vehicle parked at a school bus stop three days in a row was reported in the area of Benjamin Drive and Newbury Drive. The complainant told police the man watched children get off the bus and left shortly thereafter.
