Theft. A 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer was stolen from the 15200 block of Zurich Street NE. The vehicle had been left running and unlocked.

Robbery. Officers responded to a report of an attempted robbery of TCF Bank by a man brandishing a firearm at Cub Foods, 256 57th Av. NE. When officers arrived the suspect had been subdued by staffers and customers. A 31-year-old man was arrested for attempted aggravated robbery.

Suspicious activity. A resident in the 100 block of 83rd Avenue NE. reported that a male was looking into his apartment as he smoked his morning cigarette. He will call back the next time it happens.

Suspicious activity. A resident in the 11000 block of Hillcrest Court told authorities that an unknown person had filled out an online application to have her mail forwarded to an address in Texas. She was unsure whether she was missing any mail, but had already corrected the issue with the post office.

Burglary. Alcohol and cash were stolen from Ham Lake Liquors in the 17720 block of Central Avenue NE.

Disorderly conduct. Dog feces were reported left in an envelope on the front step of a home in the 1700 block of Sunrise Court.

Underage consumption. A 19-year-old man was cited for underage consumption and arrested on a warrant from Chisago County at Old Hwy. 8 and County Road H.

JAN. 1

Weapon. Police arrested a 22-year-old man for concealing a dangerous weapon after responding to a report of a suspicious male in the 900 block of 11th Avenue.

Animal complaint. Officers responded to a report of a hamster found in a shoe box under a table at Subway, 7876 Sunwood Dr. NW. The hamster was injured, and the store manager was advised of her options.

ST. ANTHONY

Public intoxication. Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated man at Cub Foods, 3930 Silver Lake Road. The 52-year-old man submitted to a preliminary breath test, which yielded a reading of 0.23 alcohol concentration. He was taken to a detox facility and a family member was advised.

SCANDIA

JAN. 5

School bus arm violation. A silver Ford Focus was observed driving past a school bus with its stop arm extended and children present in the 23000 block of Saint Croix Trail. Neither the complainant nor the bus driver were able to provide a license plate number for the vehicle.

WOODBURY

JAN. 3

Suspicious situation. An employee of an auto shop in the 1700 block of Weir Drive contacted police after finding a set of stroller wheels lodged in the undercarriage of a vehicle being worked on. The owner of the vehicle said he thought the wheels were from his girlfriend's stroller and that he must have run over it accidentally.
