Nordic skiing begins soon in Three River Park system

December 14, 2013 at 10:57PM

Three Rivers Park system has begun taking reservations for cross-country ski lessons at several of its parks.

Single-day group lessons begin this weekend and continue through February, mostly on weekends, and require reservations. They include both classic and skate skiing, and are offered for children, adults and families.

Most of the lessons will be offered at Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove and Hyland Lake Park Reserve in Bloomington. Depending on the weekend, some lessons also will be available at Cleary Lake Regional Park in Scott County, Baker Park Reserve in Medina, Carver Park Reserve near Victoria and French Regional Park in Plymouth.

Group lessons are generally 90 minutes long; private lessons can also be arranged my appointment.

To check schedules and prices, or to make reservations, visit the Three Rivers website at www.threeriversparks.org and search under "activities" or call 763-559-6700 during business hours.
