Just 21 hours after they won an emotional comeback victory at New Orleans, the Wolves are back at it tonight in Dallas against Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks.

Does that sound familiar?

It should: The Wolves had the same exact scenario in January, playing New Orleans and then Dallas in back-to-back road games. They lost both games, including in overtime to the Mavericks.

They're doing so this time with a team that interim head coach Sam Mitchell calls both undermanned and undersized, at least until they sign at least one player to help out their frontcourt.

That probably won't happen until Tuesday night's deadline to waive players so they can join other teams for the playoffs passes and transactions across the league sort themselves out

"This is going to be tough tonight," Mitchell said. "We're playing a good team and it seems like every time we come to Dallas we're on a back-to-back. The game is early (6 p.m. tip) and we don't have a lot of depth. We've only got about 10 guys. But we can't make any excuses. We've still got to go play. Dallas isn't goign to feel sorry for us. They've got their own worries, like everyone else."
