No girls' basketball being played this week at Target Center

Don't go to Target Center to watch the girls' basketball state tournament Wednesday. Or any other day this week. In a break from previous years, all of the quarterfinal games and winners' bracket games are being played at Williams Arena and Maturi Pavilion at the University of Minnesota. Here's the Wednesday schedule of quarterfinal games:

At Williams Arena

Hopkins vs. Lakeville North, 10 a.m.

Centennial vs. Maple Grove, noon

Shakopee vs. Stillwater, 2 p.m.

Eastview vs. Forest Lake, 4 p.m.

At Maturi Pavilion

Fergus Falls vs. Holy Angels, noon

Austin vs. Cooper, 2 p.m.

Becker vs. Marshall, 4 p.m.

At Williams Arena

Redwood Valley vs. Roseau, 6 p.m.

At Maturi Pavilion

Albany vs. Holy Family, 6 p.m.

Minnehaha Academy vs. St. Peter, 8 p.m.

Williams Arena will be the site of the semifinal games in 4A and 3A on Thursday and 2A and 1A on Friday, as well as the championship games in all four classes Saturday.

Note: Maturi Pavilion also will host the 1A quarterfinals Thursday.
