The No. 1 Gophers volleyball team stayed unbeaten Saturday by sweeping Idaho State 25-15, 25-14, 25-11 in the Boise (Idaho) State Classic.
Freshman Stephanie Samedy led Minnesota (11-0) with 14 kills,
Alexis Hart and Regan Pittman both had nine. Pittman, a 6-5 redshirt freshman, also hit .750.
The Gophers hit .390 and held the Bengals (3-9) to .087.
"Minnesota is a great team and program," Idaho State coach Rick Reynolds said, "and they do not give you much room for error."
Next Minnesota opens the Big Ten season against No. 21 Michigan at 7 p.m. Friday at Maturi Pavilion.
