A Lucid celebration

Oh, how time flies when you're making inebriating beverages. It's already been three years since Minnetonka's Lucid Brewing turned a Kickstarter dream into beer-making reality. Since then the suburban suds-mongers have helped Badger Hill, Bad Weather and Pryes Brewing Co. get in the Minnesota beer game via their alternating proprietorship model, which allows start-ups to share equipment and space. The Lucid crew toasts to three years with a brewery bash Saturday featuring food trucks, live music and the release of its beer/wine hybrid Hallucidation.

Noon to 6 p.m., Sat., 6020 Culligan Way, Minnetonka, 612-615-8243,

Soap-y celebration

DJs and brewers aren't the only ones with b-days/anniversaries this weekend. The Soap Factory celebrates its silver anniversary with an arty party Saturday at its Minneapolis gallery. Festivities include performances from Beatrix Jar, Solid Gold, Jaime Carrera and the Live Action Set theater company, cocktails by Bittercube and eats from Common Roots Catering, Haute Dish, Heyday, Tilia, Third Bird and more. The catch? Various ticket levels entitle holders to different goodies and portions of the evening, so check the website for details.

6 p.m. to midnight, Sat., 514 2nd St. SE., Mpls., 612-623-9176, $50-$2,000,
