New State Economist announced as Tom Stinson retires after 26 years

Retiring State Economist Tom Stinson smiled as he talked about his retirement before the news conference.
Retiring State Economist Tom Stinson talked with successor Laura Kalambokidis before the news conference. Minnesota Management & Budget Commissioner Jim Schowalter and State Economist Dr. Tom Stinson announced Monday, June 3, 2013 that Stinson will be retiring. Dr. Laura Kalambokidis, a professor of applied economics at the University of Minnesota has been named his successor.
A state judicial panel has recommended Department of Human Services Commissioner Lucinda Jesson and three others to Gov. Mark Dayton as he looks to fill two vacancies on the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
