Gophers gain a defensive tackle

December 22, 2009 at 1:57AM

Greetings..

Just a quick update here. The day after two-star Florida defensive tackle Doral Willis decided to re-open his recruiting process, the Gophers added a 6-6, 300-plus-pound defensive tackle named Sean Ferguson, who made an oral commitment to the Gophers, according to Gopherillustrated.com.

Ferguson attends the Hun School, a prep school in Princeton, New Jersey.

Many Gophers fans would have liked DT Beau Allen in a Minnesota uniform, but Allen, a defensive tackle from Minnetonka who was rated three stars by Rivals.com, has chosen Wisconsin over the Gophers. He also visited Notre Dame.

That's about it. Have a good day.
