Helen Mirren, who won an Oscar for playing Queen Elizabeth, returns to the throne for "Catherine the Great," a four-part series about the Russian monarch who played a pivotal role in the 18th century. Screenwriter Nigel Williams previously created 2005's "Elizabeth I," which also starred Mirren, while director Philip Martin did a 2005 "Prime Suspect" movie with — you guessed it — Dame Mirren.

If you missed Ken Burns' love letter to a Minnesota institution when it originally aired last year, now is the chance to see what all the fuss was about. "The Mayo Clinic: Faith – Hope – Science," co-directed by Chris and Erik Ewers, lauds the hospital's nonprofit, patient-first philosophy through touching testimonials. John McCain's comments on his treatment will move you to tears.

"Jimmy Kimmel Live!" always makes the most out of its trips to Brooklyn, but the late-night series may outdo itself with its fifth weeklong visit to the host's former home.
