Breathe again

"Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart" reminds viewers that the current reality star had a life before fighting on-screen with her sisters, most notably as an R&B star who was a regular on the top of the charts in the '90s. Lex Scott Davis takes on the title role in the two-hour biopic, which is immediately followed by "Beyond the Headlines: Toni Braxton." 7 p.m. Saturday, Lifetime

Poet's corner

Poetry is an rare source for Hollywood product, but there are few pieces of literature like "Beowulf," which gets the TV treatment in this epic tale about the battle between good and evil in a mythological kingdom that resembles a not so jolly ol' England. English majors not required for viewing. 9 p.m. Saturday, Esquire

Hopelessly devoted

Before catching "Grease: Live!" on Jan. 31, do your homework. "Grease," the 1978 feature film, proves that John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John do go together in a sanitized version of the Broadway musical with rousing numbers ("Summer Nights"!) and weird cameos (Sid Ceasar?) that makes Fox's version next week all the more daunting. 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Freeform (formerly known as ABC Family)

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
