FRIDAY

Naked Girls Reading: 'A Very Naked Holiday'

Naked girls, reading. You can't really go wrong with that concept. The simple but can't-miss equation includes one part naked girls -- in this case, burlesque performers Elektra Cuete and Dahlia Dulce and others -- and one part literature. For their holiday edition, they'll read from "A Christmas Carol" and other seasonal favorites. (7 p.m. Dec. 28. $20 at the door only. Hennepin History Museum, 2303 3rd Av. S., Mpls. www.nakedgirlsreading.com/minneapolis.) JAHNA PELOQUIN

Salon Saloon: The 2012 Show

Year-end top 10 lists are inescapable. Fortunately, we can count on the folks at the variety show-styled roundtable Salon Saloon for their "Heavy 100" list. The year-end review features favorite Salon Saloon guests from throughout the year returning for a two-part show. The early show will reveal the first 50, with the final 50 being announced and discussed during the late show. Joining host Andy Sturdevant will be dark-folk musician Mike Gunther, punk poet Paul Dickinson and artist Steven Lang. Come to one show, or come to all. (7 & 10 p.m. Fri. $6-$10 or pay-what-you-can. Bryant-Lake Bowl, 810 W. Lake St., Mpls. 612-825-8949 or www.bryantlakebowl.com.)J.P.
