Music: Minnesota Orchestra musicians, with Lydia Artymiw

Thursday-Friday: Minneapolis-based pianist Lydia Artymiw makes a rare appearance with the musicians of the Minnesota Orchestra this week, playing the Mozart Piano Concerto No. 23 in A Major. Artymiw is acclaimed as a chamber musician, a solo recitalist and a recording artist, as well as a performer with orchestras. She has a delicate touch and virtuoso technique to make Mozart intimate and passionate. Minnesota Orchestra conductor laureate Stanislaw Skrowaczewski leads the musicians in a program that also includes two titans of the romantic era: Wagner's Prelude and "Liebestod," from "Tristan and Isolde" and Brahms' Symphony No. 2.
