Minnesota-themed food and the four seasons will be on offer at Gov. Mark Dayton's inaugural party on Saturday.

"The event will be a celebration of Minnesota, with the Minneapolis Convention Center decorated to honor Minnesota's four seasons, winter, spring, summer and fall. Some of Minnesota's favorite foods of each season will be served, including wild rice and mushroom appetizers, turkey and cranberry sandwiches, walleye cakes and Minnesota cheese and sausages," a Dayton release said. "The event will include music and dancing, with a sweet late night surprise: a local milk bar with a Minnesota State Fair favorite, Sweet Martha's Cookies."

No word yet on whether snow shovels will accompany winter, floods will rush by in the spring, mosquitos will be welcomed in summer and dread of winter will hang out in the fall theme.
