Murmuration of starlings

Thousands and thousands of birds curling and swirling

November 7, 2011 at 3:23AM

A murmuration is a collection of starlings in flight. This video is similar to others you may have seen of the flowing, swirling, almost liquid forms created by enormous flocks of these birds moving in synchronous flight. This video is better than other I've seen. It was filmed from a canoe on a lake in Ireland. It takes two minutes. You might want to watch it twice. http://vimeo.com/31158841
