Oh horror flick parodies, what has become of you? In 1974 Mel Brooks blessed us with the universally respected and wholly hilarious "Young Frankenstein." Gene Wilder nailed the cocky doctor-into-mad scientist lead, Brooks' sometimes spotty jokes were on the mark, and the National Film Registry thought the movie significant enough for eternal preservation. Flash forward to today: The inexplicably putrid "Scary Movie" series continues unaborted. But with this free screening leading up to the musical version of "Young Frankenstein" at the Orpheum Theater (Feb. 9-14), the youth of today will receive a tutorial in spoofs not sucking.
