FFF curators/hosts Nick Prueher and Joe Pickett have assembled an archive of laughably awful workplace training videos, music videos, home movies, exercise videos and any other weird and obscure remnants of the analog days, and have turned it into a touring festival, now in its fifth year. Prueher describes the Found Footage Festival (www.foundfootagefest.com) as more a comedy tour than a film festival, one that he and his partner took out of their living room and brought into a theater. He sees it as a subversive act to screen videos in a theater that clearly were never meant for public consumption. "There's something sexy about VHS," Prueher said. Make sure to look for some videos of local band Knight Crawler ("stuck in an '80s hair metal time-warp," according to Prueher). For anyone who's ever had to sit through one of these terrible videos at the daily grind, now's your chance for catharsis, and hilarity.
