Senior Isaiah Cherrier finished with 246 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns on Friday, leading undefeated Mound Westonka to a 29-0 victory vs. Minneapolis Henry.

The victory at Haddoff Field improves the White Hawks' record to 6-0.

Cherrier rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown and gained 111 yards on special teams, including a 76-yard punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter. He also caught a pass for 11 yards.

"It was a lot of fun, the punt return especially," Cherrier said. "We worked really hard at that in practice. Our coaching staff expects us to be one of the best punt return teams in the state."

Senior quarterback Brennen Boroughs threw two touchdown passes, both to junior Evan Dahl, and finished with 48 passing yards. Conner Clark rushed for 48 yards, and Bobby Sweet added 46 yards on the ground. The White Hawks, however, had six fumbles, losing four of them.

Henry was limited to two first downs in the first three quarters and none in the first half. The Patriots had a chance to score late in the fourth quarter, but the fourth-and-goal play with only seconds left resulted in a tackle for loss of yards.

"Last year we had a lot of success, but we showed it wasn't a fluke from last year," Cherrier said.
