Mound's top city official was arrested and charged with drunken driving in Eden Prairie in June.
City Manager Kandis Hanson, who oversees the Lake Minnetonka city's departments, was stopped by an officer for careless driving at 1:15 a.m. on June 13 at the corner of 78th Street and Dell Road, according to police. She was arrested and charged with misdemeanor offenses for fourth-degree drunken driving and careless driving. She said she hadn't had anything to drink for three to four hours, but hadn't felt well that night, rested and then drove home later than usual.
"I made a bad choice," she said, adding that it was a "questionable" stop and that she would contest the matter.
