A motorist strayed across the centerline on a two-lane highway in east-central Minnesota, hit a pickup truck head-on and was killed, authorities said.
The collision occurred about 10 a.m. Wednesday on Hwy. 70 in Royalton Township in Pine County, according to the State Patrol.
A car driven by 42-year-old Amy Marie Freund, from nearby Cambridge, was heading west when she crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with the pickup, the patrol said.
The pickup's driver, 24-year-old Alexandra H. Trach, of Forest Lake, was taken to a hospital with noncritical injuries.
