A motorcyclist crashed at a well-traveled Fridley intersection during the evening commute and died, authorities said Wednesday.
The wreck occurred about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at East River Road NE. and 51st Way, police said.
Responding officers located the motorcycle and a man unconscious on the ground at the northwest corner of the intersection, police added.
Resuscitation efforts by the officers and emergency medical personnel were unsuccessful. The rider was not wearing a helmet, police said.
The man's identity has yet to be released.
