In today's paper, I wrote about a family's search to find safe housing for their severely disabled son. Shamsho Abdi doesn't know when she will have enough money to finish the renovations on the house her sister purchased last fall. In the meantime, the family is trying to care for Sulebaan as he recovers from an illness that almost killed him this winter.

Abdirizak Bihi, executive director of the Somali Education & Social Advocacy Center, said he is trying to coordinate assistance for the family. Anyone who wishes to donate to the family can go to Associated Bank, where there is an account in Sulebaan Mohamed's name. You can also e-mail Bihi or call him at 612-886-6510.
