The Morneau family expansion project is nearing completion. Morneau has left the team to return to the Twin Cities to be with his wife, Krista, who is about to deliver the couple's second child. Best of luck to the family.
Chris Parmelee has been recalled from Class AAA Rochester, where he was batting .302 with 4 home runs and 18 RBI in 28 games. He can remain with the club for three games, according to league's new paternity leave policy. Parmelee will join the club in time for tonight's game against the Royals.
Tony Oliva received a standing ovation from about 250 fans who showed up for his discussion at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. Olivia is going to throw out the first pitch tonight before the Twins play the Royals.
