A Minneapolis man didn’t know what he was in for when he tried to buy a $299 chair that he saw in a major retailer’s advertisement. He trekked to Burnsville to find the chair, but he was told he needed to go to the retailer’s Edina location.

When he got there, he was told there would be an $85 delivery charge. He wasn’t about to pay that high of a percentage of the chair’s cost for delivery so he said he would pick it up himself.  He was told to head to another location in Roseville, where he would have to pay a $25 pickup charge.

“They should advertise delivery and pickup charges and any add-on costs and requirements,” he wrote to Whistleblower.
