Since most of the words have already been written, let's try to dig inside some of the key numbers from the weekend:

*5-0: The Vikings' record. Also Brett Favre's record as the Vikings' starting QB -- marking the first time in his career that he's started a season 5-0.

*104.1: More importantly, Favre's QB rating through five games. Now: He's faced some pretty mediocre defenses so far, and will get a much better test later in the season. But so far, a 69.1 percent completion rate, 9 TDs, 2 INTS and over 1,000 yards sounds pretty nice.

*481: For anyone worried Adrian Peterson isn't getting the ball quite enough, he's still No. 2 in the NFL (trailing Cedric Benson by 6 yards) in rushing with 481 yards, and he leads the league with 7 rushing TDs. He's on pace for more than 1,500 yards and 22 TDs.

*12: The number of turnovers the Vikings have forced this year, which is tied for second in the NFL. That's covered up for a defense that hasn't quite been as dominant at times as some might have expected.

*2-16: The Twins' record in their last 18 postseason games. We've been in attendance as a member of the media for all but three of those games, making us 2-13 when seeing and reporting on them in the playoffs lately.

*0-8: The Twins' record in their final 8 postseason games at the Metrodome. Yes, their only wins during that awful 2-16 stretch came at Yankee Stadium (one each in 2003 and 2004).

*2-for-26: Combined postseason numbers for Delmon Young and Jason Kubel, two of the Twins' hottest hitters in the final four games of the regular season.

*.367: Alex Rodriguez's career average at the Metrodome.

*31: The gametime temperature, at least according to one thermometer, for the Gophers/Purdue game Saturday.

*minus-37: Adam Weber's rushing yards this season. He had 600-plus as a freshman and 200-plus as a sophomore.

*96.2: Level on the [redacted] meter when waking up to heavy snow on Oct. 12.

*75.2: Percent worse this would have been in terms of perception if the Twins had won yesterday and all the New York media was still here.

*61: Average high temperature on Oct. 12 in Minneapolis, roughly 24 degrees higher than today's expected high.
