Considering they've lost a multitude of players to injuries -- including the faces of the franchise, Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio -- a fair amount of slippage is to be expected from the Timberwolves. But the excuse of a depleted roster can only take you so far. And after coughing up a 20-point lead to a similarly snakebitten Golden State squad in a home loss Sunday night to the Warriors, Wolves guard J.J. Barea said as much.

"There are a bunch of us here who care and play hard," he said. "But there is a bunch that don't care. We just have to change that."

It's unclear exactly who Barea was aiming at with those words, but similar accusations have been leveled at forward Michael Beasley in the past. Beasley had a team-worst minus-15 rating off the bench in 26 minutes, chucking up 11 shots in the process. Said Beasley after hearing Barea's comments: "Until you point those guys out one by one, it doesn't really matter. That was a collective loss. ... It's disappointing that that's even brought up, that guys don't care. We have one more left. Guys who don't care won't be here next year."

And it's interesting he said that last part, since there is a more than decent chance Beasley won't be in a Wolves uniform next season.

The question, we suppose, is this: Do you support Barea calling out teammates in public as a tactic to either motivate them or give fans a blunt assessment of the season as he sees it ... or do you agree with Beasley that such a thing should be in-house and not brought up?
