Minnesota Twins: Sano back?

Miguel Sano may play this weekend, and may be on the playoff roster as a pinch-hitter or DH for the Twins in their likely wild card matchup against the New York Yankees.

How do you say Kirk Gibson in Spanish?

MIguel Sano hit a few long home runs in early batting practice at Target Field, then said he wants to play this weekend and be on the roster for the Tuesday wild card playoff, likely in New York.

Manager Paul Molitor said he will play Sano on Saturday if he feels up to it, and will delay a decision on whether he will be on the roster on Tuesday. The Twins don't have to set the roster until Tuesday morning.

Sano could DH, or be a pinch-hitter. Which sets up a wonderful scene if indeed the Twins play at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday: Sano coming up as a late-game pinch-hitter, a la Kirk Gibson, and becoming the first Twins hitter ever to produce a series-winning hit against the New York Yankees.
