The Serbian basketball federation reportedly has said Timberwolves forward Nemanja Bjelica will miss the Rio Olympics because of a right foot injury.
The injury, described as an inflamed nerve that needs at least three more weeks to heal, kept Bjelica out of the Olympic qualifying tournament.
The 6-10, 240-pound Bjelica averaged 5.1 points and 3.5 rebounds in 60 games as a Wolves rookie last season.
His right foot proved a problem during the season; he was forced to miss 11 games from February into March with what was called a foot strain.
