Gophers defenseman Jack Sadek and forward Tommy Novak are among 42 players invited to the U.S. national junior team evaluation camp from July 30-Aug. 7 in Plymouth, Mich.

All are candidates for the U.S. team that will play in the world junior tournament Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Montreal and Toronto.

Also invited to the camp is former Burnsville forward Brock Boeser, who helped North Dakota win the NCAA title. Boeser and Sadek (Lakeville) are among 10 Minnesotans invited.

The others are goalie Jake Oettinger of Lakeville; defensemen Jack Ahcan of Savage and Ryan Lindgren of Lakeville; and forwards Joey Anderson of Rose- ville, Kieffer Bellows of Edina, Casey Mittelstadt of Eden Prairie, Rem Pitlick of Plymouth and Riley Tufte of Blaine. Novak is from River Falls, Wis.

Lindgren and Pitlick have signed with the Gophers, Mittelstadt has committed to them. Oettinger and Bellows are going to Boston University, Ahcan has signed with St. Cloud State, and Anderson and Tufte with Minnesota Duluth.

Wild prospects at the camp will be 2015 draft choices Jordan Greenway of Boston University (second round), Nick Boka of Michigan (sixth) and Sadek (seventh).

• Sabrine Garrison and Heather Ciskowski, both of University Golf Club, shot a 5-under-par 67 on the first day of the Minnesota Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship at Somerby Golf Club for a one-shot lead over Taylor Ledwein of New Prague Golf Club and Marisa Toivonen of Red Wing Golf Club.

• Joe O'Brien, David Christensen and Jon Sauer all won their quarterfinal matches 1-up in the MGA Players' Championship in Brainerd, Minn., to advance. Trent Peterson also won, 7 and 5.
