The Saints were shut out for the second time in their series with Sioux Falls, losing to the Canaries 7-0 Sunday at CHS Field.

The Canaries' hitting star was outfielder Burt Reynolds, who hit a two-run bases-loaded single in the fifth off St. Paul starter Ryan Zimmerman, then put the game away with a grand slam off Chandler Hawkins in the ninth. Jabari Henry also homered, his 20th.

Grady Wood limited the Saints to six hits in the first shutout of his career. He struck out six and walked none.

Winner goes wire to wire in Hoist Her Flag Stakes

Puntsville went gate to wire under jockey Victor Santiago to win the $50,000 Hoist Her Flag Stakes in 1 minute, 9.87 seconds at Canterbury Park.

The 5-year-old mare is owned by S D Brille Ltd Partnership and trained by Michele Boyce.

Wagering favorite Thoughtless and jockey Alex Canchari finished second in the 6-furlong race, 3¼ lengths behind the winner. Malibu Princess was third.

Puntsville immediately went to the lead in the nine-horse field and was never challenged, winning for the ninth time in 19 career races. She paid $7.20 to win.
