Jess Lehman, Agnes Esser and Shanique Wright each earned All-America honors Saturday on the final day of the NCAA women's track and field meet in Eugene, Ore.

Lehman took first-team honors by improving from 11th place to seventh on the final day of the heptathlon and finishing with 5,835 points, her second All-America honor in the multievent competition. Wright and Esser each earned second-team honors in their NCAA debuts. Wright placed 12th in the triple jump at 42 feet, 7.5 inches, and Esser took 15th in the discus at 172-7.

Saints deal for pitcher

The Saints recorded double-digit hits and runs for the second consecutive night, routing the host Sioux Falls Canaries 12-4, giving them 30 runs and 34 hits in the past two games. Aaron Gretz went 4-for-5 with three RBI, Willie Argo had two RBI and Tony Thomas extended his hitting streak to 23 games.

•The Saints sent shortstop Mike Gilmartin to the Lincoln Saltdogs on Saturday for reliever Zach Westcott plus a player to be determined.


•Former Gophers golfer Erik Van Rooyen shot a 7-under 64 for a 9-under 133 two-day total and a one-stroke lead entering the final day of the Tapemark Charity Pro-Am at Southview Country Club.
