The top five Gophers runners all ran career-best times in posting a fifth-place team finish at the Big Ten women's cross-country championships on Sunday in Iowa City. The Gophers men placed seventh.

Redshirt juniors Liz Berkholtz (16th, 20 minutes, 31.5 seconds), Becca Dyson (18th, 20:37.5) and Kaila Urick (30th, 20:52.2) led the way at Iowa's 6,000-meter course.

National No. 1 Michigan State took the team title with 26 points, followed by No. 8 Wisconsin (55), No. 4 Michigan (93), No. 19 Ohio State (127) and the No. 20 Gophers (139). Michigan State senior Leah O'Connor won the individual crown in 19:26.3.

• Aaron Bartnik placed seventh in a personal-best 23:56.2 on the 8K course, earning All-Big Ten honors for the Gophers men. Wisconsin won the team title with 47 points, and the Badgers' Malachy Schrobilgen repeated as individual champion (23:35.0).
