Dajanae, Minnesota waiting child
Dajanae (The Minnesota Star Tribune)

Dajanae is an outgoing young lady with a sense of humor all her own. When asked what words she would use to describe herself she said, loving, artistic, silly, musical, energetic and wild. Dajanae has many interests, but especially enjoys making bracelets and other arts and crafts projects. She loves to sing and dance and her favorite singers right now are Beyoncé and John Legend. She also really loves Chinese food and Chipotle.

Dajanae, 16, is very curious about adoption and always has lots of questions. She would like to be part of a two-parent family with younger siblings and, preferably, a dog. Ultimately, she is really looking for a family that will love her unconditionally. She would also like to stay in contact with some members of her birth family following adoption. All Minnesota families will be considered.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
