July 22 was the last day before the debt-ceiling debate in Congress dragged stocks down. Then came new worries about the debt crisis in Europe and the U.S. jobs front. Just 14 local companies have gained in that period, including Eden Prairie's NVE Corp. - the best performer, up 15.5 percent; Caribou Coffee, up 12.5 percent, and Arctic Cat, up 8.4 percent.
