Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, Friday-Saturday

• The second Minnesota Bat Festival and Science Night kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the education center in Bloomington. Learn firsthand about bat monitoring technology. The Bat Festival, part of a multiagency effort, begins at 9 a.m. Saturday. (952-854-5900, bit.ly/fwsbats)
