Robert A. Doty is the new chief financial officer for the Minneapolis Public Schools. He comes to the district from DFA Financial Services in St. Paul to replace Peggy Ingison, who left the district in August to take a job with the Minnesota Historical Society, as we reported.

"His proven ability to improve operations, his strong qualifications in general management and business planning and his leadership skills will be crucial to our efforts to create sustainable finances as outlined in our strategic plan," Superintendent Bernadeia Johnson said in a prepared statement.
