Police have released photos of a vehicle involved in a road rage shooting during rush hour Wednesday on a busy Minneapolis thoroughfare.

The vehicle, described as a tan, gold or ivory Jeep Grand Cherokee, was captured on surveillance images released by police Wednesday. Police say the vehicle had three occupants, not two as originally reported.

Police say the 39-year-old victim was southbound near Groveland Avenue at 5 p.m. when she was cut off by a beige four-door Jeep Cherokee with tinted windows.

She honked at the car, which then slowed down next to her driver side, and a passenger shot at her multiple times with a black handgun. The victim, who was shot three times in the arm and once in the stomach, drove several blocks and called 911. She is hospitalized and expected to survive her injuries, police said.

Drivers along the normally busy stretch are enduring even more congestion during road construction.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 612-692-8477.
