UPCOMING AT THE MIA

Expect surprises and special events throughout the MIA's 2015 centennial year, including:

Bike Night: Hipsters ride through the museum's doors into its grassy courtyard for an evening of music by Rank Strangers, eats from Wheelhouse Mpls, and a birthday surprise from Handsome Cycles. (6-9 p.m. July 16, free.)

Gifts of Japanese and Korean art from the Mary Griggs Burke Collection: The late St. Paul-born collector amassed one of the world's most exotic collections of Japanese and Korean art from which she bequeathed to the MIA nearly 1,000 pieces, including rare calligraphy, folding screens and paintings spanning centuries. (Sept. 26-May 8, 2016)

Delacroix's Influence: The Rise of Modern Art from Cézanne to van Gogh: French romantic painter Eugene Delacrox influenced generations of innovative European talents, including Manet, Cezanne, van Gogh featured in this international loan show. (Oct. 18-Jan. 10, 2016)
