WILLMAR, Minn. — A man has been sentenced to 25 ½ years in prison for his role in a fatal confrontation on a Kandiyohi (kan-dee-YOH'-heye) County farm in 2011.

The West Central Tribune of Willmar reports (http://bit.ly/17a8B5t ) the sentence handed down Friday to 47-year-old Timothy Huber was at the low end of the range recommended by the state sentencing guidelines. A jury convicted him in May of second-degree murder in the death of 43-year-old Timothy Larson, of Albertville, at the victim's father's farm near Belgrade.

The defendant's father, Delbert Huber, who's now 83, pleaded guilty last year to actually shooting Larson. He was sentenced to the maximum of more than 30 years in prison.

The dispute began when Larson ordered the Hubers to remove their farm equipment from his father's property.
