The Public Theater of Minnesota has gotten onto the summer show radar. The troupe is headed by Mark Hauck, who was one of three founders at the Great River Shakespeare Festival in Winona several years ago. They've made a deal with the city of St. Louis Park to use the Veteran's Amphitheater in Wolfe Park. Hauck is directing "A Midsummer Night's Dream" with a group of young actors in the theater's educational company.

Hauck said the company will eventually consist of three entities: the educational group, a community theater and a professional troupe.

Performances at St. Louis Park (near the Excelsior and Grand business district) are 8 p.m. Fri.-Sat.; 6:30 p.m. Sun., starting July 15 and running to the 31st.

Veterans Amphitheater is at 3700 Monterey Dr., St. Louis Park. $10-$14. Go to www.theptmn.org
