Many Vikings fans and writers are presuming that Teddy Bridgewater will play at some point this season. The Vikings QB, drafted with the final pick in the first round, looked good in much of the preseason and is waiting if veteran Matt Cassel falters.

Cassel, for his part, earned the starting job with a slightly better preseason than Bridgewater. And it sounds like head coach Mike Zimmer likes stability at quarterback as opposed to the merry-go-round the Vikings have gone through in previous years, most notably the disaster of 2013.

With that information as a backdrop, we ask: How many games will Bridgewater start this season? Your ranges of choices:

A) 0

B) 1-3

C) 4-6

D) 7-9

E) 10 or more

Our best guess is that it's either going to be B (1-3) or E (10 or more), and here's why: If Cassel falters and the Vikings struggle in a tough first five games, it would be a natural opportunity to switch to Bridgewater and if he stayed healthy he could start the final 11 games. If Cassel plays well and keeps the job deep into the season, we imagine the Vikings might fall out of realistic contention at some point and give Bridgewater a look with a couple games left.

If we had to guess which of the two it will be, we'll say 1-3 games. Your thoughts, please, in the comments.
