St. Olaf, ranked No. 24 in the NCAA Division III poll, needed a late rally and defensive stand to turn back Augsburg 24-20 in on Saturday in Minneapolis.

St. Olaf quarterback Dan Dobson's 32-yard touchdown run with 9 minutes, 20 seconds remaining gave St. Olaf the lead. Then, the Oles defense halted the Auggies on their final possession at the St. Olaf 4-yard line with 2:33 to play.

Tyler Maxwell led the Auggies with 162 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

St. John's 24, Gustavus Adolphus 16: The Johnnies ended a three-game losing streak with a come-from-behind victory in St. Peter.

Gustavus led 9-0 early, but St. John's rebounded to take a 17-9 lead at halftime, capped by a Sam Pederson 45-yard touchdown pass from Connor Bruns.

Gustavus held the Johnnies to 219 yards of offense.

Concordia (Moorhead) 35, Hamline 15: The Cobbers rushed for 304 yards in taking their fourth consecutive victory. Quarterback Michael Dunham rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns, and junior fullback Brett Baune pushed his MIAC-best touchdown total to 16 on scoring runs of 35 and 8 yards for the Cobbers.

Carleton 23, Macalester 17 (OT): Carleton senior running back Jon Lien put the finishing touches on a career day, scoring the game-winner from 25 yards out on Carleton's first play of overtime. In all, Lien scored on runs of 58, 46 and 25 yards while setting a school record with 259 yards rushing on 28 carries.
