Melodie Bahan is leaving the Guthrie Theater. Bahan has been here ten years. She hasn't said what she intends to do next.

This was her email, sent out this morning:

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

After 10 very rewarding years at the Guthrie Theater, I’ve decided leave my position as Director of Communications. The decision was not an easy one for me, but I’m at a point in my life where I’m ready for a change and some new challenges. The time is right.

The Guthrie has been a truly exciting place to work over the last decade and I’m grateful to Joe Dowling for the opportunities I’ve had and for his leadership. Trish Santini has been incredibly supportive and helpful as I’ve been considering my decision, and I value her friendship. I treasure all the friendships and professional relationships I’ve developed in my time at the Guthrie and I look forward to the continuation of those.

My last day at the Guthrie will be Friday, May 20.
