FORT MYERS, Fla. — Trevor May allowed four runs and eight hits over 4 2/3 innings Friday, perhaps his last chance this spring to seize a spot in the Twins' rotation.
""Whatever I feel doesn't really matter, because it's not my decision," May said after allowing two home runs, three doubles and a triple to the Pirates. He is competing with lefthander Tommy Milone for the fifth-starter position.
The game was called off with the Pirates leading 4-2 in the eighth inning, when rain began falling at Hammond Stadium and lightning appeared on the horizon.
