Joe Mauer's recent power surge has earned him some hardware.
Mauer hit four home runs, picked up seven RBI and scored seven times last week, leading the Twins to a 4-2 record and earning the first baseman the American League Player of the Week award.
Mauer homered in all three games - all victories - in the weekend series against Seattle and collected four multihit games in all last week.
It's Mauer's third AL player of the week honor, but his first since May 2009. It's the first time a Minnesota player has won the award since Trevor Plouffe and Danny Santana shared the nod the final week of August in 2014.
