Minnesota (12-9-1) took a 2-0 lead in the opening period on goals by Tyler Sheehy and Tyler Nanne, the second with 21 seconds left in the period.

Mike Szmatula made it 3-0 Minnesota just 1:17 into the second. Sam Rossini added an unassisted goal at 8:15 of the third.

Brendan Soucie scored for Army 68 seconds later. Jared Dempsey had 28 saves for Army.

The Gophers, who won 3-0 Friday, are now 10-2 at home.
