Mason Jennings' classic, raw, acoustic sound already landed him on the "I'm Not There" soundtrack covering two Bob Dylan tunes, and now the Minneapolis troubadour will be singing a few Neil Young covers next month at Carnegie Hall

alongside the likes of Patti Smith and Jakob Dylan. Jennings is part of the "Music of Neil Young" tribute/benefit concert happening Feb. 10 in New York. This is the same kind of deal as the Springsteen tribute the Hold Steady played there, although you can't count on Neil showing up like Bruce did. The lineup also features Glen Hansard, the Roots, Cowboy Junkies, Shawn Colvin, Aaron Neville, J. Mascis, DeVotchka, Bebel Gilberto and more, with a house band led by ace Dylan/Levon Helm sideman Larry Campbell. Organizers are holding a contest where fans can submit a Youtube video of them "performing or interpreting" a song for a chance to attend the show (click here for details). Stay tuned for details on how to see/hear the concert via the web.
