They advanced in different ways, but top-seeded Marshall and unseeded Hibbing will meet in Friday's 2A volleyball semifinals. They combine for 44 trips to state.
Marshall swept Wadena-Deer Creek 25-11, 25-21, 25-11. Hibbing needed five games to beat New London-Spicer 28-26, 16-25, 22-25, 25-11, 15-11.
They will meet today at 5 p.m. The teams in the other semifinal are yet to be determined. Delano and Byron are meeting in one quarterfinal and LeSueur-Henderson vs. Minnehaha Academy is the other matchup.
Those matches are just starting.
