A Maplewood man pleaded guilty Wednesday to fatally shooting a 19-year-old college student during a Craigslist heist last summer on the East Side of St. Paul.
Steven E. Lewis, 27, pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated robbery and second-degree murder in the death of Aung Thu Bo on Aug. 10 after the Hamline University student met him in response to a cellphone advertisement on Craigslist.
After getting into the backseat of the car driven by Bo, Lewis pulled a gun and demanded his money. With the gun held to Bo's right temple, Lewis leaned forward to search his pockets, and the gun fired.
