Minnesota State Mankato's Lauren Smith, a senior center from Burnsville, is the WCHA's offensive player of the week. She had four goals and three assists for seven points as the Mavericks swept Lindenwood University 6-1, 6-0 early last week. Smith, an assistant captain, leads MSU in scoring with 16 goals and 26 points in 22 games.

Bemidji State's Jessica Havel, a senior goalie from Grand Rapids, Minn., is the conference's defensive player of the week. She stopped 21 shots in the Beavers' 2-0 victory over St. Cloud State on Saturday. The rookie of the week is freshman forward Meghan Dufault of North Dakota. Dufault of Winnipeg, Manitoba, had four goals and three assists as UND swept Lindenwood 7-3, 8-4 last weekend.
